A single line on the switchroom floor: the utility incomer, MV switchgear, transformer TX-1 and the LV board out to feeder 4.

On a deployment.

Power arrives at a data centre at high or medium voltage and every downstream system depends on it. HV and MV technicians install and test switchgear, cabling and protection, carry out switching under permit and support commissioning and maintenance on live plant.

Authorisation and safety culture matter as much as skill. Riviot checks authorisations against the site’s permit system before an engineer is proposed.

What good looks like.

Preparation
Works strictly to the permit and the switching schedule. No shortcuts, ever.
Judgment
Test results recorded and traceable to the asset.
Handover
Communicates clearly with the client's authorised person.

Questions about this role.

How quickly can you shortlist an HV and MV electrical technician?

Shortlists typically arrive within two working days of a complete brief. You get two to five masked scorecards, each with a note from the recruiter. If the site needs clearance or a rare certification, the recruiter will say so on the day the brief arrives.

Contract or permanent?

Both. We place HV and MV electrical technicians on contract and permanent terms. On contract work, Riviot can act as employer of record or agent of record. The contract versus permanent tool shows where the crossover sits for your market.

What if the site needs a certification not listed here?

Put it in the brief. The recruiter shortlists against it, and it shows on each scorecard as declared until a reviewer has checked the document.

Do engineers travel between markets?

Many do. Engineers in the network travel between the six launch markets. Travel and lodging terms are agreed at brief stage. Say in the brief if you need someone local.
