Structured cabling technician.

Installs, terminates and tests copper and fibre structured cabling to a recognised standard.

Execution, Reliability, Range
A telecom room cabinet of patch panels, a ceiling tray and four wall outlets, each on its own permanent link.

On a deployment.

Structured cabling technicians build the pathways everything else depends on. Containment, pulling, dressing, terminating and certifying copper and fibre runs to TIA or ISO standards, with test results that go into the handover pack.

On data centre projects the volume is high and the tolerances are tight. Certification test failures cost days, so the best technicians test as they go and keep the results organised by cabinet.

What good looks like.

Preparation
Every link certified, results exported and named to the schedule.
Judgment
Containment fill and bend radius respected without being told.
Handover
Works cleanly in live environments without disturbing existing services.

Questions about this role.

How quickly can you shortlist a structured cabling technician?

Shortlists typically arrive within two working days of a complete brief. You get two to five masked scorecards, each with a note from the recruiter. If the site needs clearance or a rare certification, the recruiter will say so on the day the brief arrives.

Contract or permanent?

Both. We place structured cabling technicians on contract and permanent terms. On contract work, Riviot can act as employer of record or agent of record. The contract versus permanent tool shows where the crossover sits for your market.

What if the site needs a certification not listed here?

Put it in the brief. The recruiter shortlists against it, and it shows on each scorecard as declared until a reviewer has checked the document.

Do engineers travel between markets?

Many do. Engineers in the network travel between the six launch markets. Travel and lodging terms are agreed at brief stage. Say in the brief if you need someone local.
