A data hall in section: CRAH-2 supplies air down into the raised floor void and up through a perforated tile into the cold aisle.

On a deployment.

Cooling is now the pacing constraint on many builds. Mechanical technicians install and commission chillers, CRAHs and CRACs, liquid cooling loops, pumps and controls, and maintain them on live estates where a temperature excursion is an incident.

The move to higher rack densities and liquid cooling means the best technicians are learning fast and can work alongside controls and electrical teams.

What good looks like.

Preparation
Commissioning data recorded against design values, every reading logged.
Judgment
Understands airflow and containment as well as the plant itself.
Handover
Works safely on live estates without disturbing running loads.

Questions about this role.

How quickly can you shortlist a mechanical and cooling technician?

Shortlists typically arrive within two working days of a complete brief. You get two to five masked scorecards, each with a note from the recruiter. If the site needs clearance or a rare certification, the recruiter will say so on the day the brief arrives.

Contract or permanent?

Both. We place mechanical and cooling technicians on contract and permanent terms. On contract work, Riviot can act as employer of record or agent of record. The contract versus permanent tool shows where the crossover sits for your market.

What if the site needs a certification not listed here?

Put it in the brief. The recruiter shortlists against it, and it shows on each scorecard as declared until a reviewer has checked the document.

Do engineers travel between markets?

Many do. Engineers in the network travel between the six launch markets. Travel and lodging terms are agreed at brief stage. Say in the brief if you need someone local.
